The men and women of the Independents 12th Cavalry, whose unit slogan "Death From Above" described them perfectly: They rained terror and ordinance on enemy forces where ever they were – space, the air or the ground. Their heavily-armed, but surprisingly maneuverable, gunboats could be configured for all manner of missions from patrol to deep insertion to flying fortress duty. Small enough to avoid detection, fast enough to hit quick and retreat, big enough to grapple even with the capital ships, the gunboats were the perfect vehicle for an armed militia that specialized in guerrilla warfare.

The 12th Cavalry were Browncoats to reckoned with. And now you can declare yourself a proud member of this elite aerial armor division by displaying their badge. Measuring 4" x 2.25, this embroidered patch sports an adhesive back and retails for only $9.95.

I bought three of these patches without paying attention to the dimensions. When I got them, well, WOW are they tiny. I just figured they''d be "normal" patch size which, looking over my collection seems to be 3 1/2" to 4" to my eye. They are beautifully done but the colors and design intricacies are too small to impress as they should. The same design on the back of the ISV Cerebus T-shirt ROCKS! So break out a measuring device to make sure you''re getting what you are expecting. If the size suits you, the quality is excellent. Mike
